Recently, India test team registered one of their most memorable performances in England. They managed a well deserved 2-2 draw against a more fancied oppostion in their own backyard. This was really remarkable because it came from team in transistion under a new test captain after the sudden retirement of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. Cricket pandits had not given much chance this new looked team under Shubham Gill. Certain English analysts opined that the series against India would serve as a good warm-up for the Ashes.
The Indian test team went against all odds and did the unthinkable. As we bask in the glory of the this remarkable feat, probably its the right time to reflect upon the future of the test team. The most pertinest question banging on every Indian cricket fan is : Who would be the next Fab Four?
First one to make the list, would be Shubham Gill. The charismatic captain who led from the front and scored a mammoth 754 runs in the England series. He has the patient game which is well suited for the longer format. He has already made No 4 batting position as his own. A coveted position which was once held by the likes of Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar. He defintely has big shoes to fill in but seems to be on the right track for the same.

Second player in my list, would be Yashashvi Jaiswal. The youngster has made a lot of sacrifices to reach this level which is apparent in his relentless hunger for runs. He has the flare of Sehawag and the grace of Ganguly. He has all the shots in book and not averse to taking risks. In is young career of 24 matches, he has already amassed over 2000 runs at a commanding average of over 50.

Third, in the list would be Rishabh Pant. The flambouyant wicket-keeper batsman known for his aggressive and intimidating attacking style. He takes the attack to the opposition thus making him a valuable assest for the team. Pant have had his shares of criticism for his unconventional shot making, but it has worked in his favor, with the team management giving him the full licnese to paly his natural game. With the best average among India's recent wicketkeeper bastmen, Rishabh Pant embodies a rare blend of consistency and flair.

Last and not the least, would be KL Rahul. The thinking crickete,r who is a treat to watch when in full flow. His average does not reflect his true potential but his new role as an opener has really helped him improve on his game. This was apparent in the recent series against England. He amassed 532 runs, featuring 2 fifties and 2 centuries at a healthy average of 53.2.

These four could the next "Fab 4" capable of guiding the India test team to great heights.
